FBEAM 2006 development & accreditation

The FBEAM 1.x and FBEAM 2.x versions were developed by the Steel Construction Institute. A decision was made in 2001 to take the development of FBEAM 3.x in-house. Once this capability was established FBEAM 3.0 was developed and launched and followed by the FBEAM 3.1 upgrade (which adds functionality to FBEAM 3.0).

FBEAM 2006 was then also developed in house.

The accreditation of FBEAM 1.x and 2.x was by SCI and that of FBEAM 3.x, FBEAM 2006 and beyond is being undertaken by FEDRA, of Buro Happold Limited.
