Project Overview:
Situated three miles from Glasgow City centre, Anniesland Collge
is redeveloping it's Hatfield campus. In order to keep the college
fully functional the redevelopment is a three phase programme. The
first phase incorporated a new 4 storey. 3,000sqm teaching block
and a 2 storey 5,000sqm workshop. There were 1,200 tonnes of
structural steelwork utilised in these 2 buildings, of which 200
tonnes were Fabsec bespoke plated beams.
Atlas Ward Structures provided the connection design,
fabrication and erection of the 1,200 tonnes of steelwork, they
also supplied and fixed the metal decking and stairs throughout.
Atlas Ward completed their works on schedule in January 2008 with a
creditable health and safety performance.
