For nearly 5 years FABSEC has been developing and fabricating long span cellular beams, from plate, for a wide variety of projects in the UK. With a production capacity in excess of 40,000 tonnes FABSEC is the UK market leader.

Cellular Beam Fabrication and Coating

FABSEC is now the UK’s leading supplier of fabricated cellular beams designed using it’s patented FBEAM software. The latest edition of the software has a simple but sophisticated cell generator/editor toolbar that permits very flexible cell position and geometry to suit virtually any services arrangement. The Beam Wizard® incorporating the Optimiser allows beams to be quickly designed both reducing design time and saving in material and fabrication costs.

Severfield Reeve Structures Limited and Cellbeam Limited are licensed fabricators of FABSEC beams. Fabrication of FABSEC beams is undertaken from plate steel using automated plate cutting and welding techniques in modern, state-of-the-art production facilities.

Coating for the fire rated version (branded FIREBEAM) is provided by Leigh’s Paints and steel for all FABSEC products is generally provided by Corus.
